INNER ALCHEMIST

Peace comes from within - Do not seek it without

Overcome your uncertainties and free yourself from dwelling on sorrow. When you delight in existence, you will become a guide to those in need, revealing the path to many.

—Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha    (via samsaranmusing)

As you think, so shall you become.

—Bruce Lee (via realmlovejoy)

Everything changes when you start to emit your own frequency rather than absorbing the frequencies around you, when you start imprinting your intent on the universe rather than receiving an imprint from existence.

What is it we are questing for? It is the fulfillment of that which is potential in each of us. Questing for it is not an ego trip; it is an adventure to bring into fulfillment your gift to the world, which is yourself. There’s nothing you can do that’s more important than being fulfilled. You become a sign, you become a signal, transparent to transcendence; in this way, you will find, live, and become a realization of your own personal myth.

—Joseph Campbell

If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

—Bruce Lee

Every moment of one’s existence one is growing into more or retreating into less. One is always living a little more or dying a little bit.

—Norman Mailer

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

We practically can’t do anything without judging. Say, a flower - is it pretty? You almost can’t look at a flower without evaluating it. It’s very hard for you to sit and just be here and let all this stuff happen without judging. Is it good? Is it right? Is it wrong? Will it help me? That’s part of the trap. And so, what gets really exquisite is when you start to watch your own thoughts, and you realize that they’re like birds flying across the blue sky. And when you realise that and you’re finally along on the journey, you’ll notice that your mind is completely empty - mindlessly floating along. It’s all happening. It’s all happening. Oh … wow … No doer, it’s just happening!

—Ram Dass (via wordslessspoken)

When you run after your thoughts, you are like a dog chasing a stick; every time a stick is thrown, you run after it. But if, instead, you look at where your thoughts are coming from, you will see that each thought arises and dissolves within the space of that awareness, without engendering other thoughts. Be like a lion, who rather than chasing after the stick, turns to face the thrower. One only throws a stick at a lion once.

—Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (via ashramof1)

Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.

—Richard Bach (via quotedojo)

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

—Anon. (via quotedojo)

What I am really saying is that you don’t need to do anything, because if you see yourself in the correct way, you are all as much extraordinary phenomena of nature as trees, clouds, the patterns in running water, the flickering of fire, the arrangement of the stars, and the form of a galaxy. You are all just like that, and there is nothing wrong with you at all.

A rising tide lifts all boats.
